I'm New to Newman Catholic

Welcome Roadrunners!

Are you looking for home? Are you looking for community? Are you looking for God?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then you've come to the right place.

Newman Catholic is a Catholic student organization and ministry sponsored by the Catholic Archdiocese of Newark open to any Ramapo student, faculty, or staff member. Wherever you are at on your faith journey - Catholic, non-Catholic Christian, or no faith at all - you're welcome here. Here at Newman Catholic is about 3 things: CONNECT, COMMUNITY, AND CHRIST.

1) We create a place where we can connect with each other across different majors and backgrounds. We talk about real life issues: dating, discerning your call in life, and how to be faithful amidst the struggles of college life.

2) We build a community that's more than a community - it's family. We have fun, eat meals together, hang out together, and laugh together!

3) Lastly, we open ourselves to the possibility of encountering Jesus. We have Mass on Sundays as well as on Mondays and Thursdays during the academic year. Our chaplain Father Jarek is available for the Sacrament of Confession or spiritual counseling. We have Men's and Women's Bible studies for you to unpack the Scriptures and mission trips where you'll serve the poor. Additionally, we attend the annual SEEK Conference that brings 20,000+ college students from all over the world to encounter Christ and be forever changed.

As Jesus said to Peter and Andrew, we also say to you: "Come and see" (John 1:39). We look forward to getting to know you and walking with you during your time at Ramapo College.

"Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in a love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything." - Father Pedro Arrupe, S.J.

Peace and good,
